Proenza Schouler Loves New York, And More Highs From NYFW Day 5
Even gusts of wind up to 60 miles per hour couldn’t stop the positivity on day five of New York Fashion Week Fall 2017. First thing in the morning, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen presented a collection of brilliantly simple pieces at The Row that had guests plotting how to get the look ASAP. Then came a lively show from Carolina Herrera, a punchy one from 3.1 Phillip Lim, vampy glamour at Zero + Maria Cornejo, and C-suite artsiness at Eckhaus Latta. Smack in the middle of the day, Proenza Schouler sent out their New York swan song (for now, at least), riffing on past hits in a red, white, and blue palette and serving up new, sporty details. Maybe it was the way the sunlight hit the sequins on their finale dresses, but you couldn’t help but smile.
